Competitive Gameplay Mechanics
Drag Meets in FH6 put your reaction time and precision front and center. Unlike previous games with semi-automated starts, you now have full control over your launch.
Synchronized Tree Lights: Every drag strip features the classic "Christmas tree" lights, synchronized across all players. Timing your launch is crucial—jump the start, and you risk disqualification.
Manual Reaction-Based Starts: You hold the brake and throttle to build revs, then release the brake precisely when the green light hits. Perfect timing makes the difference between winning and losing.
Automatic Staging: No more fumbling to align your car. Pull up to the grid, and your vehicle locks automatically into its lane.
Dynamic Leaderboards: Weekly in-world leaderboards track top times per Performance Index (PI) class. Compete against friends, the community, or your personal "Rivals" and see who’s fastest each season.
Social and Community Features
Drag Meets aren’t just about winning—they’re also about showing off your car and sharing expertise.
Seamless Interaction: Drive straight into a meet, "ready up," and start racing without leaving the shared world.
Showcase Builds: Walk around other players’ cars in first-person, inspect mods, download liveries or tunes, and even buy stock versions of cars you like from the Autoshow on the spot.
Group Activity Rewards: Earn Credits and XP just by participating. Bonus rewards are granted when multiple players perform stunts or skills at the same time, encouraging cooperative play.
Confirmed Locations & Variations
At launch, there are three main drag strips, each offering its own unique challenge:
Festival Site 1K – A standard 1-kilometer sprint, perfect for tuning acceleration and top-end speed.
Irokawa Space Center – A classic 1/4-mile strip for traditional drag racing fans.
Airfield 1/2 Mile – A longer half-mile stretch designed for testing high-speed setups and top-end performance.
Whether you’re aiming to dominate leaderboards or just hang out with friends and admire cars, Drag Meets in FH6 offer a seamless, social, and competitive experience unlike anything in previous Horizon titles. Master your launch, tune your car, and make every meet count.
